I recently received the following comment from an artist who will remain unnamed, as I no longer wish to promote them here.
"REMOVE IMMEDIATELY THESE WALLPAPERS! They are MINE and I know that they are for free use but I did NOT allow you to post them here! Shame of you."
I would like to clarify that wallpapers are NOT available for download on Desktop Candy. They are solely available through the artist's very own gallery pages, which is linked in the title of each post. I only provide tiny thumbnail samples of what each artist has in store, as my goal is to spread awareness about each of these spectacular artists by driving traffic to their websites, and sharing their work with the world.
To the poster in question;
I deeply regret that you did not appreciate this free service.
I deeply regret the time I wasted promoting your artwork.
I deeply regret sending tens of thousands of visitors to your website.
Shame of me, indeed.

The artist obviously has the right to say whether they want their work featured somewhere or not- for whatever reason, but in this case it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Maybe a talented artist but a bad business person? Oh well, plenty more where they came from, right?
I love your site and have visited too many artists to count from links on your site and I have even bought products from a few. Keep up the good work & thanks for doing it!

Good for her that she's not in this site anymore, no more traffic for her then. What a moron she was and she could've said it in a nice way too, not demandingly. It's as if she'll die if you don't take out her works on this site.
An artist who makes wallpapers but doesn't like people to know that she does. Funny.
